Tennis Program

Founded in 2004, Just Cause Tennis Inc., is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that offers a tennis program to children and teens who live in or attend school in the West Oakland community.

The tennis program implements basic tennis building skills, and is designed for the entry level junior player with minimal, or no tennis experience. The tennis coach identifies advance level players and develops them accordingly. The tennis lessons are conducted at the McClymonds tennis courts located at 2607 Myrtle Street in Oakland California.

The mission and objective of Just Cause Tennis is to use the game of tennis to promote life enhancement through athletic participation. Using this approach we help youth: Improve physical, educational, and life skills necessary to prepare and empower them for leadership in their communities, and success in their personal lives; and learn the game of tennis well enough to progress to the Oakland Athletic League (OAL) and the many different USTA and none USTA junior programs available for youth. Participants are encouraged to take part in these programs.

Interested parents and students can learn more about the program and schedule by contacting a representative at (510) 635-1780.
